Know Exactly What's in Your Hemp
— Before Anyone Else Does

Independent lab testing for potency, purity and compliance — covering 15 cannabinoids and 28 terpenes in a single analysis.

Precise Analysis. Clear Results. Full Confidence.

Whether you're growing industrial hemp for compliance or producing cannabinoid extracts for market, you need lab results you can stand behind.

Cannalytic Profiling delivers accurate, independent testing using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) — the gold standard method for hemp analysis. Get verified potency and purity data for 15 of the most common cannabinoids and 28 of the most common terpenes, fast.

Compliance Testing

Stay Under the Legal THC Limit

New Zealand law sets a strict THC limit for industrial hemp crops. Getting it wrong isn't just costly — it can mean crop destruction.

Our compliance testing gives you verified proof your crop is within the legal threshold, using the same HPLC methodology trusted by labs worldwide.

What we test

  • Total Delta-9 THC content (legal limit: 1.0% dry weight)
  • THCA conversion factored in — results account for heat/decarboxylation, the most accurate measure of real-world THC potential

Pre-Harvest Compliance Testing

Representative samples are taken from the top third of the plant — flowers and leaves — typically 2–3 weeks before harvest. Samples are homogenised and analysed using HPLC or Gas Chromatography (GC) to produce a verified compliance result.

  • Methodology: Labs use HPLC to measure total THC, accounting for the potential conversion of THCA into THC through heat/decarboxylation
  • Threshold: If samples test above 1% Total Delta-9 THC, the crop is deemed non-compliant and must be destroyed under DEA oversight

Why HPLC? Because Accuracy Matters.

High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is the preferred method for hemp potency testing — and for good reason.

Unlike other analytical techniques, HPLC is not temperature-dependent. That means cannabinoids won't decarboxylate during testing, so your results reflect the actual composition of your crop in its natural state — not an artefact of the test process itself.

HPLC can also identify and measure structurally similar cannabinoids and their acid and free forms simultaneously — in a single run. You get more data, more accurately, faster.

Our platform We use a purpose-built liquid chromatography platform which is highly regarded by analytical testing facilities for several distinct reasons:

Cannabinoid Profiling Validated methodologies allow for the baseline resolution of up to 15 key cannabinoids (including THC, THCA, CBD, and CBDA) in a single run.
